By accessing this website or requesting an estimate or service from Tailwaggers Cleanup, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use this website or our services.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website or services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

1. Services

Tailwaggers Cleanup provides residential dog waste removal services in Burlington, North Carolina and surrounding areas.

Services are recurring unless otherwise agreed and continue until canceled in accordance with these Terms.

We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate service at our discretion.

2. No Long-Term Residential Contracts

Residential customers are not required to sign long-term contracts. However, by accepting service, you agree to these Terms and all posted pricing policies.

3. Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and unobstructed yard access
  • Ensure all dogs remain indoors during the service visit unless otherwise arranged
  • Unlock gates on service day
  • Remove hazardous debris or objects
  • Maintain grass at a reasonable height

For safety reasons, dogs must remain inside the home while service is being performed unless prior arrangements have been made. Tailwaggers Cleanup is not responsible for injuries, escapes, or incidents that occur if a dog is released into the yard during service.

If access is denied or unsafe, the visit may be considered completed and charged.

4. Messaging Consent (SMS & Phone)

By submitting an estimate request through our website, you expressly consent to receive phone calls and text messages from Tailwaggers Cleanup regarding:

  • Estimates
  • Service scheduling
  • Billing notifications
  • Service updates
  • Account-related communication

Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP.

5. Payments & Billing

  • Payment is due per agreed billing schedule
  • Failed or declined payments may result in service suspension
  • Accounts may be sent to collections if unpaid
  • Customer agrees to pay reasonable collection costs and attorney fees
  • Pricing may change with notice

Initial Cleanup Fees

Yards that have accumulated excessive waste may require an initial cleanup before recurring service can begin or resume.

The initial cleanup fee is charged in addition to the standard service rate.

Initial cleanup pricing is as follows:

  • $15 for the first three bags collected
  • $5 per additional bag after the first three bags

The number of bags required will be determined by the service provider during the cleanup.

Bag counts are determined at the discretion of the service provider based on waste volume collected.

Service Pricing

Service Estimates

Quotes provided online, over the phone, or through estimate forms are based on the information provided by the customer and are considered estimates only.

The final service price will be determined once the service technician arrives and visually inspects the yard, including factors such as yard size, number of dogs regularly using the yard, waste accumulation, and overall yard conditions.

If the actual service requirements differ from the original estimate, pricing may be adjusted accordingly. The customer will be informed of any significant pricing adjustments before service begins.

Additional Dogs

Service pricing is based on the number of dogs regularly using the yard, not solely the number of dogs owned by the customer.

If additional dogs begin using the yard on a regular basis, customers agree to notify Tailwaggers Cleanup so service pricing can be updated.

6. Service Completion

Service is considered completed once the technician has visited the property and inspected and serviced the designated cleanup area.

Customers will not be refunded or credited based on the perceived absence of dog waste prior to the time of service.

Dogs may relieve themselves after service has been completed, service fees apply regardless of the amount of waste observed by the customer following the visit.

7. Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel residential service at any time prior to the next scheduled billing date.

When service is canceled, Tailwaggers Cleanup will continue service through the remainder of the current billing period that has already been paid.

No refunds will be issued for partially used service periods.

Cancellation requests may be submitted by phone, email, or text message.

8. Discounts & Referral Program

Tailwaggers Cleanup may offer promotional discounts at its discretion. The following discounts are currently available:

Military & Veteran Discount

  • Services under $75 per month receive a $5 monthly discount.
  • Services $75 per month or greater receive a 10% monthly discount.
  • Valid military or veteran status may be requested.

Referral Rewards

  • Customers may receive a 1% monthly discount for each referral who signs up for recurring monthly service.
  • The referral must become an active monthly customer for the discount to apply.
  • Referral discounts stack up to a maximum of 10%.
  • The discount remains active as long as the referred customer remains an active client.
  • If a referred customer cancels service, the associated referral discount will be removed.

Tailwaggers Cleanup reserves the right to modify or discontinue discounts or referral programs at any time.

9. Weather, Yard Access & Waste Accumulation

Service may be delayed, rescheduled, or modified due to weather conditions, including heavy rain, lightning, flooding, snow, extreme heat, or other unsafe working conditions.

Customers will not be penalized for weather-related service delays. If service cannot be performed due to weather, the visit may be skipped or rescheduled at the discretion of Tailwaggers Cleanup.

Customers are responsible for ensuring the yard is safely accessible on scheduled service days. Gates must be unlocked and pets must be secured during the service window.

If the service provider arrives but cannot access the yard due to locked gates, unsecured animals, or other access-related issues, the visit may be considered completed and charged.

Waste Accumulation Policy

If the yard cannot be serviced due to access issues, waste may accumulate and require additional time to remove. In these situations, accumulation cleanup fees may apply.

Accumulation fees apply only after consecutive missed visits and reset once a successful cleanup has been completed.

  • After two consecutive missed visits, a $15 accumulation cleanup fee will be applied to the next successful visit.
  • After three consecutive missed visits, a $20 accumulation cleanup fee may be applied due to increased waste accumulation.
  • After four consecutive missed visits, service may be temporarily suspended. An initial cleanup at standard rates will be required before recurring service can resume.

Excessively overgrown yards or yards that have accumulated excessive waste may require an initial cleanup fee before recurring service can begin.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tailwaggers Cleanup shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the most recent service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tailwaggers Cleanup from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:

  • Unsafe yard conditions
  • Dog-related injuries
  • Customer negligence
  • Violation of these Terms

12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our control, including severe weather, natural disasters, acts of God, labor shortages, or government restrictions.

13. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

Any dispute arising from these Terms or services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in the State of North Carolina.

You waive the right to participate in any class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

14. Website Use

You agree not to misuse this website or attempt unauthorized access.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
